What it does

Converts STL, OBJ and PLY meshes into editable CAD. It fits planes, cylinders, spheres, cones and fillets to the triangles and writes a STEP file, or for simple parts a CadQuery, OpenSCAD or FreeCAD script with each dimension as a named parameter. It runs from the command line or as an MCP server for AI agents, and reports how far the result deviates from the mesh.

Adopt it when

You have a printable mesh of a mechanical part, such as a bracket or a printer part, and need a model you can measure and change in FreeCAD, Fusion or Onshape.

Watch out

A month old with one maker and no tagged release. It suits prismatic parts made of simple shapes; organic or sculpted meshes fall back to faceted output.
